10 Effective SEO Tips to Improve Page Rank

2 comments :
To introduction, Page Rank technology was designed by the Google co-founder Larry Page, while he was a student in Stanford, thus the name PageRank. Google uses PageRank (PR) to rank websites on a scale of 10. Then those rankings act as crucial point of consideration to get listed in top Google Searches.

Page Rank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important." Taking an example, consider if a PR 6 website links to you and a PR4 website links to you. In such a case it will ofcourse be the PR6 link which will be considered to have more weight than the PR 4 link. Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages' relative importance.

Here is a list of 10 effective points to improve your website or blog PR (PageRank):

1. Content is the King

If you provide quality content then you will get regular readers and many of those will copy a summary (or sometimes the complete article) into there blogs plus linking back to you. Good content may sometimes get renowned bloggers linking to you which will drive traffic and will give your site more weight due to there high PR.

2. Keyword management

See, whatever your PR be if you do not use proper keywords into your blog you wont get listed into Google searches. So use right keywords in the URL, the "title" tag, the article's heading, the text and the links which you make. Considering my own blog, webtechlog contains all the words which indicate that this blog is all about technology. The "title" tag contains the name of my dream company SEOAX. That again very well indicates that this blog is about seo. And same goes with all the article headings and content.

3. Follow the "nofollow" revolution

When you comment on any blog you might see the name of your website under the comment authors name. But know this very well that those links aren't considered by Google for PR calculation. But these days many bloggers are removing the "nofollow" tags from there links in comments. Thus when you comment on there blogs you will earn a link to your blog too. Pretty cool!

4. Post on forums

There are so many forums available over the Internet that its tough to know which is good and which isn't. A good way could be to check PageRank of these forums. Now post mostly in those forums which have high PageRank. Each link into these forums will be considered by Google bot as a backlink to your site. This way you earn good amount of visitors, a high PR link plus some knowledge too!

5. Order reviews

Investment is required whenever you want to outshine others in this world of competition. So if you are capable of investing then go order some reviews into high PR blogs which again gives you visitors plus link.

6. Link Exchange

Blog roll as many of us call it, is a nice way to increase the number of back links to you blog. For those who do not like the LONG blogroll list in there blogs could ask the other author to copy some content from your blog and indicate the source. And you do the same too. That way you earn the same weight back link.

7. Text Link Ads

Why not pay maximum $50/month to high Pr websites and get listed into there blogs home page. The only downside is that you need to pay that amount every month to keep the link running.

8 Your own websites network

If you have more than one website than why not link back from each website to you other websites. That also brings you good backlinks and that too without spending a money!

9. Submit links to online directories

Online directories mostly have good PR. Start submitting your link to these directories to get high quality back links.

10. Start online contests

Various contests in different blogs is a new way to earn traffic and to get large number of back links. Giving you an example, ask your readers to review your blog in there blogs and ask them to link back to your blog in return. Inform them that the best review will earn some cash prize or something unique from your collection if you do not want to spend money.

2.) Take care not to over crowd your site’s content with keywords and use keywords throughout the content rather than concentrating it at the beginning or at the end.

3.) Back-link or inbound link is important, so build links with potential partners that can generate profit to your site.

4.) Choose good title and Meta tags- Good title makes good move on page optimization, and suitable, targeted, theme based, precise keywords and phrases in Meta tags help spiders find your web pages more easily.

7.) Make your web pages content rich with keywords and phrases that hit your business. Add more contents that give precise information about your services and products.

8.) Offer something unique than general contents i.e. add more articles at least one per month and update your contents regularly and add new resources.

9.) Add more content to your website but never make it duplicate by copying other’s work. Duplicate content is easily detected by search engine and make your website unqualified for ranking and kicked it off completely from search engine.

Odds between white hat SEO and black hat SEO

No comments :
The difference between a black hat and white hat SEO can be determine based on what kind of techniques they are using to improve and boost the search engine rankings of a website or a web page.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is  a good chance to promote your website on any search engine results. It is a process of improving the visibility of a website on organic ("natural") search engine results, by incorporating search engine friendly elements into a website. A successful search engine optimization campaign will have, as part of the improvements, carefully select, relevant, keywords which the on-page optimization will be designed to make prominent for search engine algorithms.

Black Hat SEO

Black hat SEO is the use of techniques that are unacceptable to search engines to boost a page’s position in search results. These techniques are intended to trick search engines into giving pages higher positions in search results, and they have no benefit to site visitors. The goal is to improve search engine result positions no matter what it takes to do it.

Black hat SEO techniques are used for two reasons:

  • They work — until search engines find out about them and they don’t work.
  • Some people don’t understand that black hat SEO techniques can get their sites penalized by or banned from search engines.
Even if search engines can’t detect the black hat SEO techniques, competitors of sites that employ black hat SEO techniques can spot them and do report them to search engines.

Common Black Hat SEO Techniques
  • Keyword stuffing
  • Overusing keywords in comment tags, alt tags, and meta tags
  • Placing keywords in hidden text (hidden from people, that is) by making their font color the same color as the page background
  • Overusing keywords in visible text, to the point where their repetition is apparent to readers
  • Doorway or gateway pages: pages that are stuffed with keywords but that only search engines see because people are redirected to the page with the real content
  • Cloaking: displaying different content to search engines than to people by identifying visitors via IP or via other methods
  • Link farms: pages with unrelated links solely for the purpose of creating more links to target pages
  • Spamming forums, blogs, and other social media sites with links (search engines might not penalize sites for this, but it’s considered unethical)

White Hat SEO

White hat SEO is ethical SEO. It’s SEO techniques that search engines accept. White hat SEO techniques are beneficial for site visitors as well as for search engines. The goal of white hat SEO is to improve search engine result positions via methods that won’t cause search engines to penalize the site.

Successful white hat SEO is slower than black hat SEO and is an ongoing process.

Common White Hat SEO Techniques
  • Researching relevant keywords, both short ail and long tail keywords
  • Including keywords naturally in page titles, headings, link anchor text, other page content, and alt tags
  • Studying analytics reports and fine-tuning the content to further optimize it for targeted keywords and to help direct traffic to relevant pages
  • Adding fresh content regularly
  • Using correct HTML markup (for example, heading tags) so that search engines can identify headings and other types of
  • content correctly
  • Making sure that all the code is valid (or at least won’t stop search engine bots)
  • Creating site maps so that every page is linked to and search engine bots can crawl every page
  • Using CSS to separate content from markup and thus increase keyword density by having less markup to crawl
  • Creating quality content that other people will want to link to
  • Asking to have directories and other relevant websites link to the site
  • Optimizing pages for social media in the hopes of attracting social media links
  • Arranging for link exchanges with relevant sites (considered by some to be gray hat SEO)
In the end after , White hat SEO, refers to use of good practice methods to achieve high search engine rankings. They comply with search engine guidelines. While Black hat SEO refers to attempts to improve rankings in ways that are not approved by search engines and involve deception.

Basics of OnPage SEO Tips for Blogspot 2014

No comments :
We know that SEO Off Page refers to the search engine optimization techniques that can be done outside of your website, such as link wheels, reviews, social bookmarking, social media (references and followers), sidebar links, among other techniques. However, without a proper on-page seo optimization, all would sum up to a non-optimized webpage without quality, which will not reach the traffic expected to have. This is mostly because search engines (especially Google) pay much attention to the alt and title tags (for images), meta tags, internal links, robots and so on, in order to display the content of your web page to the user who made a specific query in the search.

To never fall in this depression of search engine optimization, you can choose a good and reliable blog platform like Blogger. If you are working only on Blogger, here are some on-page optimization tips that might help you to become successful in the blogging world and increase the daily traffic to your blog.

Main On-Page SEO Tips For Blogspot

Optimization of the robots.txt file: besides alerting Google search engine, this file also helps us to prevent certain pages being indexed by Google in order to protect our blog against duplicate content issues.

Title optimization: In the default blogger template, post titles are not optimized properly for the search engines. To solve this, we need to touch some code in the design and optimize both page and post titles.

Image optimization: Whether your blog is about pictures or images as general topics, by simply adding a keyword related to articles, compressing the image and putting the title="" and alt="' tags, we would be optimizing SEO On-Page a little bit more.

Internal links: Internal links within posts on our blog will not only increase page views but will also help us to be well ranked in search engines.

Blog's loading time: When you start with a blog either new or old, it's important to offer a user experience filled with a fast loading time. Search engines give higher priority to a faster blog than to a slow or saturated one.

Using Google Webmaster Tools: After making sure that your blog is 100% SEO, this amazing Google tool will provide you support with both fast indexing and broken links, HTML improvements, page errors and many other specific suggestions for your website.

Social Media Optimization Tips 2014

1 comment :
Social media optimization is an ever-growing buzzword in the online marketing world today. Otherwise known as SMO or social SEO, social media optimization is about optimizing your social media presence for optimal traffic. Some of the same rules as SEO apply to SMO, but there are also some important differences you need to be aware of. Here are 10 helpful tips on how to optimize your social media profile.

  1. Socialize – It might seem obvious, but it’s important to spell it out. Every time you create a social media profile, start by spending some time visiting other people’s profiles, adding new friends and commenting. Networking starts by reaching out to others and initiating the relationship.
  2. Multimedia – Don’t be shy adding new pictures, video and other media. Social media sites are designed around media and have plenty of tools for incorporating them in your profile. Working media into your profile makes it stand out and makes the experience more interesting for others visiting your profile.
  3. Share – Incorporate share buttons for all of your social media sites on each of your blogs and websites. These include buttons like Twitter’s Tweet This and Pinterest’s Pin It button. Integrate these as much as possible to leverage the traffic you already have.
  4. Content – Just like a website or blog, you need to add fresh content regularly. With social media, it’s even more important. Posts are quickly archived and disappear within days or hours. Create a schedule of posting regularly, but don’t let quantity outweigh the quality of your posts.
  5. Optimize For Keywords – Work your keywords and target key phrases into your social profiles and posts whenever it’s natural to do so.
  6. Completeness – Search engines will show a preference for profiles with all the details available. It also creates a more professional and comprehensive appearance for others in your network.
  7. Watch Visitor Behavior – Use the analytics tools provided by each of the social media sites and pay attention to what people are doing. Monitoring behavior will tell you what is working and what isn’t. If some features aren’t being used, eliminate them to cut down on clutter.
  8. Share Everything – Create unique, helpful and interesting content and encourage your visitors to pass it around. Viral posts can result in a lot of exposure for your profile.
  9. Timing – Pay attention to the timing of your posts and track results. You’ll find that certain times of day get you a better response. Focus on those high-traffic periods.
  10. Selflessness – Don’t let your posts revolve around self-promotion. While social media has more of a focus on individual opinion, focus on topics that are helpful to your network of friends and offer advice and information that benefits others.
It’s important to be personal and sincere on social media. By consistently providing interesting and exciting content, you’ll inspire others to share your posts and attract more search engine traffic.
